Products

By using this Website in any way, you shall be deemed to have accepted all the Terms and Conditions unconditionally. You may not use this Website if you do not agree to the Terms and Conditions. 

The Website enables you to shop online for an extensive range of products which may include personal accessories (beaded jewellery, necklaces, bracelets, earrings etc)  home décor products (baskets, picnic baskets etc) and corporate gifts (Christmas decorations etc). 

Please note that the stock of all items on offer is limited.

Note that due to the hand-crafted nature of our products there may be slight variations in size, colour and final appearance.

If it happens that the colour or design of the item you want is unavailable or sold out, please contact us and we will let you know when that product will be available again.  Please do not place orders for items that are not available without first contacting us.

Orders

The site allows you, the user, to place electronic orders for one or more products on offer as long as such products are available and not sold out.  You can also use the details in our Contact Page to place your orders.

A purchasing contract (sale) between the user and African Mamas Crafts shall be complete only once a user has placed an order and the payment has been processed fully, meaning African Mamas Crafts has received and accepted the payment.  Please note that processing of payment takes 48 hours.

At the moment we can only deliver website orders within South Africa. If you would like a shipping quote to another country, please contact us, we will be happy to help. 

Delivery within South Africa is free for orders over R950 and R100-R150 for orders less than R950 depending on weight/volume. Orders within Gauteng will be delivered within 3-5 working days of receipt of payment.

Please note: All orders outside of Gauteng take approximately 5-7 working days for delivery.

As soon as your order is dispatched, you will be notified that your package is on its way.

Payment

We are committed to providing secure online payment facilities. All transactions are encrypted using appropriate encryption technology.  We currently use PayFast as a payment method. PayFast is a payment processing service for South African websites.  It enables easy, secure and instant transfer of money from online buyers.  It accepts secure payments in a variety of ways including credit cards, debit cards and Instant EFT.  For more information on the security features available visit PayFast.

Snapscan is also integrated as a payment method.  This is a mobile payment solution that makes it easy and safe to pay and receive payments in a store, online, at home, and on the go. No need for cards or cash – just simple payments in a snap using a QR code system. To learn more and download the app visit Snapscan.

Purchases will only be shipped when confirmation of payment clearance is received.  This usually takes 48 hours.  Please note that if we do not receive payment within 48 hours, or any communication regarding payment within that time, we will cancel the sale.

If payment fails due to the account not existing, insufficient funds, the credit card number or other information being incorrect etc. the purchase will not be successful. The above is dependent on the product being available.

For direct EFT payments not processed through PayFast, kindly note the following detail:

You have 24 hours to pay and send us proof of payment.  If you don’t pay in time, we’ll and cancel the order on your behalf.  Orders placed after hours, on weekends or public holidays will be processed the following business day.  If you have any issues with payment, please contact us.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse to fulfil any orders that are suspected as being fraudulent.

We will send you an email or SMS confirmation about your order and payment.  You may contact us to obtain a full record of your payment.

Shipping/Delivery

Items will not be shipped until payment has been made in full.

We cannot be responsible for items shipped to incorrect addresses (as entered by you into system during order process) or provided incorrectly to us.

It is mandatory to leave a daytime telephone and/or mobile number for us to contact you during delivery hours.

 Privacy & Security

In compliance with the Promotion of Personal Information Act (POPIA), we want to assure you that we keep all your personal information safe.  We value your privacy and use discretion to only collect what is necessary to fulfil your order and keep you updated.

When you register or place an order with us, we ask for information such as your name, e-mail address and telephone number.  We will only use your telephone number and related information provided if we need to contact you for your order and to arrange delivery/shipping. 

We may also use the information to get feedback from you regarding your purchasing experience and to share other product information which may be of interest to you.  Your information will not be given out to or shared with 3rd parties.

Refunds and Exchanges

All sales are final. Exceptions may be considered if there are considerable defects in the items upon receipt.  If your product has a significant defect, we’ll be happy to process an exchange or refund after the item is returned back and inspected by us. 

The items must be undamaged and unused, with the original labels and stickers still attached.  The cost of shipping for the return is incurred by the customer.  You must contact us within 14 days from the date of receipt.
